Alignment with lowered suspension

It doesn't quite make sense the alignment data from Wheel Works in SF Bay Area. Please let me know if I need camber plate/bolt as all 4 wheels camber are out of spec and they did not say anthing.

In fact I want to raise the whole car by 1/2" as it a bit low to my taste. Will this improve the situtation?

If your car is lowered, then those specs look about right, and not extreme at all. Raising it should decrease negative camber. If it were mine, I would leave it for the handling benefits. It you don't drive that hard and are more concerned with tire wear, then decrease the negative camber.

You could also install camber kits, but if you want to raise it anyway, that would be a waste of money.

Thanks for the confirmation as I have a lowered suspension (Carlsson or H&R+Bilstein Sport - photos in my signature) and tire wear is pretty even from inside to outside but going down to wear indicator too fast with Ealge F1 GS-D3 (~15k miles).

I plan to try the Eagle F1 All Season for longer treadwear trading off in bit in handling 'cause just too costly. I may raise it up a bit as it is an issue occassionally at parking lot entrance and speed bump.

Anyone has good input on tires?

- camber is about ideal for that set up.Anymore and are you seeing increased wear on the inner thread?

I would be very happy with 15k on tires with those camber settings. If you go with a harder tread compound it's like losing the cornering advantage from the camber. Sounds like you just need to raise it/change it, if cost is an issue and you don't care about the performance advantage.

to extend tire life, you can always ask the tire shop to FLIP the tires inside-out/left-to-right after every 10K mi.. have to do this on the rear of the s2k due to neg camber...

Just changed to Goodyear F1 All Seasons (A/S) and couldn't be happier. It is probably a bit off from F1 GS-D3 in dry and wet. Let's keep the finger crossed to see how long they will last. The A/S is UTQG rated at 420 while GS-D3 at 280.

Tomorrow I will be visiting a local shop to have a look in raising the car by perhaps 2 spring pad heights as it is sometimes inconvenience. Hope this will also put the camber back in spec. It's approx 0.4deg off in the front and 0.3deg off in the rear. Any comment?

if you want to raise the car by.5 inspect the spring pads..they will have one to four bumps on them to tell what thickness they are without pulling the pads...4 is the tallest and may work for you

raising the car .5 may correct the negative camber ..if not camber bars will correct any negative rear camber problems

If you don't have the updated front camber bolts, then the bolts may slightly help w/ the negative front camber.

The camber on the rears is impressive in comparison to my '97 that isn't as low as yours. The camber on my rear is -1.7. I've purchased some custom made camber arms to correct this issue from a forum member. Haven't installed them yet though..... On yours with the -0.3, that's not bad at all

Brought the car up from original #2 pads to new #4 pads all around. The car has approx 1.5" wheel gap in the front and a bit more in the rear but a lot more user friendly. Don't need to pay too much attention to parking lot and ramps. Ride is less harsher than before and handling is similar except sitting higher.

In terms of alignment, the rears are definitely in spec but the left front at the limit while the right front is -0.2degree off. I would probably leave this as is and monitor as time passes.

P.S. found a friendly local shop and charges a fair 2 hours labor
