1) The E420...
does not have available all of the "tuning" options that are available for the E430. Remember, it was in production in the W210 chasis for only one year.
The is one company which will reprogram your chip, and it is expensive $600 +/-. Results posted in the web are "mixed".
2) the ECU has to be pulled from the car and shipped to the "tuner".

call speedtuningusa. www.speedtuningusa.com They can reprogram your ecu for more HP. and their prices are good.
