Looking to get instructions on changing the bulb in the orange side marker pictured below. I got the replacement bulb from the dealer and would like to get rid of the annoying faulty bulb code by changing the bulb myself……..if anyone can give me brief instructions or provide a link I would appreciate it (car is 01-E430)

 

 

your manual.Mine is not handy now but you reach in the wheel well you will see a little trapezoid shaped cut out reach in and push the tab and that will move the whole lamp out take out the bulb replace and snap the lamp back in.
This is from memory on our 99.The 01 might be the same or close.

It is the same. I like how they just couldn't make the hole a circle...not like a finger is that shape or anything....

Ive not had luck popping out out from the wheel well. I just pry the thing out with a fine screwdriver from the outside.

do both - press the plastic catch from the inside, while gently prying it off
from the outside. note that the light fixture also has spring loaded plastic
catches on the forward edge as well.
