Simple question perhaps ;) Left or Right

Simple question perhaps ;) Left or Right
Hi,
Just joined; I'm moving back in time (daily driver is a 2004 A8l for a few yrs and my first MB). Owned a ton of Audi/VW's (even a Phaeton for a year) but been wanting a Diesel for some time time, and picked up a clean overall 98 E300 TD today . Going through the car and and only a few small items needed, one item is a replacement fog light assembly (cracked for a while/doesn't work). I've found a dozen sites selling them for ~$90. The question is (drum roll)
Is the the passenger side considered right or left? From front view to the car it would be Left. From drivers seat it would be the right. When all the sites list the fog light(s), they list it as right/left and not Driver or Passenger side.

Remember Left = Driver side and Right = Passenger Side.

in the usa it applies,but in the uk the bank 1 of the engine is on the drivers side and bank 2 is pass side and here it is the opposite.confused?return to step 1 above
