Louden Engine Rumble , Can it be done ??
I was looking to find out if there is a way to make the rumble of the engine louder without installing the crazy looking ricer exhaust pipes. Does changing the air intake help with making the engine rumble any louder? Not sure if this a crazy idea for a E430 W210 but I wanted to find out if it is feasible and what needs to be tweaked to make it happen without doing any long term harm to the engine of the car.

Is removing the resonator a DIY type of assignment or I will need to take it to my mechanic ?

resonators just quiet the car down there shouldnt be any damage. A lot of little ricers around here get fix it tickets for taking off their resonators becuase it is so annoying on their little 4 cyls. E320s sound really cool without the resonator my buddy manny drives a 97 e320 like mine and he took his off and it doesnt sound anything like those riced out L6's its got a deep sound to it and gets a V8 sound all the way through.

save the unit in case you find it to loud.A cross over pipe will mellow out the motor boat sound you sometimes get with a resonator delete.

Step one. Find a good muffler shop.
Step two. Get them to cut out your stock resonator and weld in a magnaflow.
step three. Add a magnaflow universal muffler. No Highway drone, and a really deep sound.
Just a tip though. Its not worth it.
