Car died out while driving!!!
I was on my way to walmart when my car just started to slow down. The brakes tightened up & I had to pull over on the side of the road. I tried to restart but it was a no go. After while 30-60min I tired it again & it started up after afew tries. Only recent problems I had was with my brakes which need to be bleed. The mechanic refered me to the benz dealership in regards to the abs system because it was the 2nd time bleeding them.
Edit: I peeped afew other related noting it maybe the cps senor. If its a senor issue how much should I expect to pay?

Brakes were hard because you lost power so no power brakes at that point.
Does it start now?Have you checked the charging and battery system?
CPS is only about 70 bucks at autohausaz.com and easy diy on benzworld.org w210 diy section,you can do it.Check all the other things first.

I went blank on its proper name but my guess is its a certain sensor that went bad. It keeps telling the system incorrectly that something is wrong and the system shuts itself down. It should also hold a code which you can check. I wish I could recall the proper name but its not the brake sensor, that's just a function of power loss. If its what I'm guessing you should get the stall out most often when braked or idling in park and in an emergency you can work both feet to keep the engine slightly revved when forced to stop at a light, traffic, etc., until you reach home.

it really is not that tight a space if you remove the engine cover and be wary of the sharp heat shielding.A flash light and the diy is all get er done.The brake warning came on because of the power loss and the cps usually does not throw a code unless failed kaput

Im having trouble locating it. I checked the threads below but im unsure exactly were to look for my car. Also while checking on the cps issue ive seen it called both cam & crank position sensor & with differnt parts. Whats really what?
