300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Remove

the head rests ,lift the seat bottoms forward, lift the seat back release handles at the same time with a helper and see if you can drop it down.Sometimes it just takes a little jiggle to get it unlocked.

How?

you may have to reach up into the underside of the seat back and by braille feel around for the end to get something on it to release the lock.
When mine gets back(wife is out showing houses)I will see what I can see on ours.

The only way I can see with my wagon would be to remove the plastic cover at the top of the seatback. I don't see how that cover has been attached but most MB parts can be dissassembled.
