Are these the ATF cooler lines - DIY flush help!
Does anyone know if these are cooler lines for the transmission?
View from the right side (passenger side) radiator. Note the hose going in at the top and hose at the bottom.
Is transmission fluid coming out or going into the radiator here (I assume hot ATF is going in because it goes is hot and when cooled it comes our of radiator at the bottom).
OK if these are the transmission lines any one know what is the best way of flushing it. Does anyone know the size of that bolt that attaches the lines to the radiator? My 15mm box wrench - largest that i have got is too small so I need to buy a larger one.
I am thinking of unscrewing the upper hose at the radiator - connect that hose to a plastic tube/hose and put that plastic tube into a pre measure gallon bottle. After that it is I liter ATF out - I liter ATF in. Am I on the right track
And this is the bottom hose
