night feature drivers mirror

My driver's side mirro is delaminating. The night dimming feature coating is separating from the glass. MB dealer says $680.00 and $30.00 install. Any less expensive options out there short of ignoring it? Thanks. This is on a 03' E320 wagon

i like to swing by ebay seller "potomac_german_auto" periodically to see what
they have for 210. prices are acceptable for me unless i get lucky on the
various MB boards, or local wrecking yard. tricky thing is to match not just
the model/type, but also the color.

You are posting in the W210 form but your information states your car as a 2003 that would make your car a W211 unless you have a wagon.
EDIT; Oh now I see 03 euro wagon with Brabus

The mirror replacement is not too difficult, here is yet one more source for parts.

This is for just the glass replacement on the left side driver's. The housing and motor are fine. I believe the left side is flat and only convex on the right, making things appear further away to encompass more area. Anyway the glass with the back coating is all that is needed. Cheapest price so far is 583.00 from one of the aboce mentioned links. Thanks for all the input. Any more is welcome.

BYW is the black wagon yours on the MBENZ website? It is very sharp. I have similar only in white and Java. What did you use for exhaust and where did you find the AMG wagon bumber or does the sedan piece work? I have never looked at the differences. Great ride though.

This has also just recently happened to my driver side mirror.. There is no driver's side glass without the auto dimming?

Wow, barely 5 years and it is peeling? I would contact MB region/HQ to complain first. MB quality has really gone down the hill.

oh pooh....contact mod RBrenton. the cost for the convex, auto dim, heated
mirror alone for the driver side should be more < $150. I got mine last summer
for $100 which is more like dealer cost. RBrenton may be able to get you
something just a little over cost.

Thanks for the input. i contacted marc Cummins suggestion and it came to 245 Euro times a 1.5 multiplyer for US dollars. That is for glass only. How do I reach this R breton? Any email address available? is he a dealer or just an MB faithful? Thanks for the newest suggestionand I appreciate all the input.
