Sunroof Reset Procedures
I tried the 5 secs. hold method (open and close) while the car is running and it did not work. Wonder if the engine has to be off when doing this???
Right now I have to continue to hold the switch for it to open or close completely.
What am I doing wrong??

Open it
all the way and then close it all the way and continue holding the button for a few seconds after closing to sync the roof.

I see what the difference is...
This is what i did:
1. open all the way then continue to hold the button for 5 secs.
2. close all the way then continue to hold the button for 5 secs.
3. tilt the sunroof then continue to hold the button for 5 secs.
does it matter of engine is running or not? and the doors were closed.

04 Civic Hopefully an 00-02 E55 one day
From a closed position tilt the sunroof and hold the button in the same position until it hits the detent for 5 seconds. Then open the sunroof without using the detent. After it is fully open push the button down all the way to the detent in open position. It should normalize after that. If it will not normalize I would look into cleaning the sunroof rails and regreasing them. If that doesn't work then I don't know :P
