Gauge Cluster
Well just like im trying to change my steering wheel I also want to change my gauge cluster. Please guys before you starting asking me why dont i just buy a new car please keep in mind i can get parts extremely cheap, i bought this car very cheap, i dont want to have a loan on a new car, and i want to make this Mercedes the way i want (looks, options, etc).
Now on to my question is it possible to to swap in a newer gauge cluster (from a 2000)? I really like the looks of the newer clusters and want to customize the the gauges (inside the cluster) but i dont want to screw anything up. As far as mileage goes i found one with almost the exact miles i have.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
No the
ecu gathers info and relays it to the cluster.You can dress up the cluster with white backgrounds and chrome rings if you want to spiff it up.

If you cant tell i have been working on cars for a long time. Have modified mustangs, civics, trans ams, bmw 5 series, 300zx's, etc. I just really like modifying the car to my standards.

wont work,98 up had the Fss system relayed to the cluster by the sensors and the ecu,the cluster the tcu the ecu and the drive authorization system are all married to each other.
chrome rings have been on the forum and look quite nice.There is even a burl wood cluster back plate on the market.\ohlord
