I have asked in a few different forums and had no response. Has anyone seen or setup their vehicle with a rally type look. I loved the ml's that were done for jurrasic park. I want to know what would be the best wheel and tire combo for a daily driver that has a more aggressive pre-runner or rally look. I like the city look but love the on-off road style much better. Any advice?

I know what you're talking about with a rally look to the car. Unfortunately, I don't recall any pics I have seen before. A 4-matic wagon with a rally look would be very awesome.

 

Mercedes set up several W211s that ran Paris /Dakar and Paris to China
as a friend of mine kept one of the cars from the race...
Its raised..off road tires..complete set up for timing and a Special AMG Tune on the CDI..That made it a LOT faster than the normal CDI W211

Yes Mark, I love your car. Too bad mercedes never let us have real amg 55 wagons here in the states. I am looking to do simple changes. Just having a tough time finding even a picture of a rally style mercedes other than old school 70's cars and ML's and G wagons... If anyone can find a decent pic of a rally benz or has any suggestions, I'm all for it. Rims and tires are next.

mount a light bar and a row of www.danielsternlighting.com rally lamps,then toss on some magnetic door numbers
a few good smacks to the fenders with a sledge hammer and there you go

thats what im talking about! thanks oh lord. I plan on doing some bushwacking next month in Jawbone Canyon. all i need now is a gun rack. maybe i can mount one on the luggage tarp/cover behind the rear seats

The turbo is finally doing well. Cant say as much for the 01 e55 in the rear view . Hell if I had the 4 matic, id do a rally car too, I already got the power part covered
