"Check Engine Electronics" message
The check engine light along with a "Check Engine Electronics" message came up today on my 97 E420. The exhaust has seemed slightly louder right about where the cat. converters are for the last 2 days, maybe an exhaust leak is throwing off the O2 sensor values? Will inspect exhaust, cats tonight. Still runs smoothly, plenty of power. Any other thoughts?

So the E420 goes to an independent exhaust repair place in Woodstock, the guy quotes me $120 for the repair, says he needs to re-weld the junction between the passenger-side cat and the down pipe. My wife picks the car up, the owner says, "It didnt take as long, so the total is only $60. By the way, the 02 sensor code didn't pop up again after the weld so you're good to go. When was the last time the repair bill was half the quote? The car is whisper quiet again, and no recurrent codes. For all of the Atlanta forum members, it's G & S Auto, 10260 Main St, Woodstock, GA 30188 (678) 238-2886. My wife dropped the car off this Saturday at 9:30, she said it was packed with customers, our car was done by 2 PM. They do custom work, high-flow cats, tuning too.
