Reverse is very shaky

Hey guys,

So I have been loving my w210 but recently a concern has come up.

When i shift into reverse, the car is a very noticeable vibration, the gas is lagging(meaning i have to put my foot down alot to make the car move), it feels like its almost hesitating.

My car is about to reach 118,000.

I have NOT performed the transmission fluid change as mentioned many times on here, but i am considering it soon.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

It might be transmission, of course, but also check your flex discs.

It is

well past time, don't consider it.Do It.

inspect motor mounts at the same time.
MB service on the newer w211 same trans 722.6 is filter and fluid at 39000 miles,I think you are a tad past that.

do

Im sorry, im a bit oblivious when it comes to transmissions.

would changing the fluid make the difference since its only causing the vibrations in reverse?

i used to have the shake in drive but i replaced the coil packs and ball bearings, etc that fixed that problem

thanks in advance.

I think you have two issues :

1 - Check your motor mounts. I am 99% sure they need to be changed.
2- Some issue with your transmission. I have a very similar issue to yours and am having it checked up tomorrow.

Cheers
