If the alternative is a hid kit in the original headlights then, yes, the 65W bulbs will probably be a better deal. if the alternative is for example DEPOs retrofitted with e55, rs6, tsx or tl projectors with xenon, then the 65W bulbs won't stand a chance as the optics in the original headlights can't match up to the optics in those projectors.

what do you mean with out powered? did you have more light than him? or did your low beams light up the road for a longer distance? or did your high beams light up the road for a longer distance?

I seriously doubt both the first and the last, as the rallye bulb don't put out close to 3000lm and the high beam optics in the original headlights are so crappy it barely reaches longer than my stock hids. the second I can understand, as the acura probably uses projectors with a sharp cutoff, and your headlights don't and are not made for such high lm bulbs.

I'm just asking for these details because I find it very hard to beleive that these 65W bulbs can be BETTER than a real xenon upgrade.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
They

are and they do.Depos with projectors are still a poor quality $800 admittedly very nice looking home built option, but side by side the 4 65 watt rally bulbs in either new lenses or polished lenses out light them. It's wave length.
What was the factory high beam in the optional xenon HID system?
H7 halogen.Must tell you something

What ever makes you happy is what you should use.I like seeing at night at speed and looking at the blue bumper just in front of me and no beam pattern beyond that, just does not make me happy.

I don't understand why it must tell me something that the high beams are h7 halogen

The oem w210 hid headlights are not bi-xenons, so the high beam is needed, and I have never heard of a car delivered with xenon high beams...

I have tried depo with e55 projector, worn out oem hids, polished oem hids and close to new oem hids. there are absolutely no doubt which headlight has the best light output, both on low beam AND high beam. Even the high beam reflector in the depo headlights alone outperforms the stock high beams.

Also EVERYBODY I know around here with w210s have the same opinion about the oem headlights..... CRAP!

Have you ever tried the depo headlights?
