seat upgrade...
Has anyone tried upgrading their seats to more comfortable seats?
If so, did you use benz seats, or retrofit another brand...?
thanks,
Al
-How about having the stock seats refitted with foam to make them more comfortable.
-I think the problem is that these seats are built for large late 50 year old Americans, I only meet the american criteria...
thanks,
What do you find uncomfortable? Are they too hard? Not enough support?
As far as upgrading, I think your best option is to find some E55 seats from a later W210.
deficiency lies and the cause. then, you can try to resolve. when it comes
to ergonomics, each person's preference may vary just enough so that....
over the keyboard, it may be more challenging to fix than it appears.
i must have fallen off the motorycle enough times that my back required
just the right about of babying when it comes to seats.
one of the best car seats I've ever had the pleasure of having my tush
babied was in a 211 E55. man o man, what a treat. unfortunately, it
would cost 1-2 grand plus to get it custom fitted into your model.
I would recommend that you get into a 210 E55 with multicontour seats
to see if that pampers to you enough. they would bolt right in, and if
they are an exact match in terms of seat features (to what you have
now), it may end up being PnP. if not, then minor SDS help may be
needed as well as console parts.
of course, the challenge will be to locate leather/color match to your
interior...as well as availability. good luck.

I First added heat via pads/harness and switch row
Had to gut the stock seats to add the heat pads/harness
Then I Found a set of AMG E55 front seats with HEAT/Multicontour and Ventilated options...It Required another wire harness and another switch row and version code the PSE for the Multicontour option to work..
It CAN Be done! and the seats really do feel better

Contact MBENZNL.com or try a Potomac in Florida

My driver's seat cushion is harder than the passenger's since it's gotten so much more use.
Thanks,
Fred
