waiting at a drive thru today the car just died on me, cranked it a few times and it wouldnt fire up... waited about 15 min and she fired up.... could this be the crank position sensor that goes bad on these models? thats what i got from the search

Very common problem with a faulty crank sensor to stall the w210 at idle - i had the same problem, but, once i placed vehicle in park, it started up right away - if I remember, there's an easy DIY on benzworld - good luck!
