Finally bought an E55 last night
After a long battle, I finally got an E55. I was actually in the process of buying another one until some things just didn't add up with the dealer and I didn't like the way it was going. I bought a 2001 E55 black/black, navigation, heated and vented seats. K40 radar installed in the front bumper.(looks like a pretty nice system, don't know too much about it) 80k miles. The car is immaculate. It comes with all service records from the dealership and its a one owner. got him down from 17k and bought it for 15k. Good deal?

Did
you follow the cardinal rule? And have it either inspected by youself if you are qualified or by a qualified professional on Mercedes. That includes all systems,Transmission,a/c diagnostics, hook up a scanner and check for pending or intentionally hidden obd2 codes, etc.
If you did and it passed with flying colors, great deal.If you did not,Caveat Emptor is the words of the day, dude
No matter what, get the trans fluid and filter changed or diy it per the diy on benzworld.org w210 section diy area,mb spec 722.6 fluid only.ASAP at 80k it is time.

With the exception of the one wheel it looks great!
I'm jealous of you E55 or AMG drivers in general, insurance was prohibitive on me getting one. Maybe once I'm past 25yrs my years of clean driving will pay off.

Thank you guys i'm very excited. At least the wheel can be fixed too!
ohlord, i've been a member here a while now and of course i followed those instructions! I brought to an indy and it checked out quite nicely except a few very minor things.
I pick it up tonight and will have a nice ride home with it.
