'97 E320
Don't know for sure, but I think it was 10w30 dino oil. The 0w40 is said to be one of the best, if not the best streel oil made by Mobil 1. Stick with the 0w40 unless you find a reason to switch.

On another note, I haven't seen a single drop on the driveway in the last 3 days. Looks like this stuff works!

97 MB E320, 97 Volvo XC70, 87 Volvo 240 DL.
After using the Castrol 20/50 oil for two oil changes, I have decided to go back to using Shell Rotella 15/40. I did some tests with the 20/50 and found that it does take some time for the oil to fully circulate. With the 15/40, it reached full circulation much quicker and the engine is much happier. Now it runs as smoothe as glass and purrs like a cat when it is at idle. Granted that I had to redo the valve cover seal, from which it was leaking.

I use 15w40 w diesel oil in all my engines.20w 50 will collaspe oil filter in a m104.
