Any auto body experts around?

Do you think this scrape can be removed using the paintless method?
Something like those DentPro or similar companies are offering.
It is on the rear passenger door.
The scrape is about 1-2 foot long.

Nope, because there is a crease. That's meant for a body shop.

I asked the body shop...and they told me that

pretty much half of the car would need to be repainted in order for the paint to match. I am not too crazy about that idea...no matter how good they are it will never be as good as original....so I may just polish the area and live with it.

Easy access

thin metal, the dent doctor can remove most of the curved dent and a bunch of the line crease.Heat and gentle working with one of the flat spoons.Find a good one and they will quote you probably 200 bucks. Then you can feather in some glaze body filler coat after sanding and color match after priming.
Nobody but you will ever know it happened.
Body shop wants your money and you can easily prevail spray it and 2 part catalyst clear it to like new.Paint 25 bucks a pint, sandpaper, can of 2 part clear.prevail sprayer under 15 bucks.Doing it yourself, priceless.
If everyone did not do what others say could not be done,we would all still be living in caves and be paying 700 bucks for spark plug changes that cost under a $100 to diy
pm me if you need more info.

Agree with Rob on this. Had dent Wizard pull a coffee cup plate size dent in wife's car with crease and they got 90% plus of it out. The doors on the W210 are thinner than the W124 and are much easier to work. Base the work area that does not come out and clear the door. you will not be able to tell where the damage was. A good body shop will spray it for cheap after the dent guys have at it if you are not paint savy. Just had my front bumper redone for under a hundred for touch and chip fill and clear. looks like new and perfect match to fenders. Good luck. The local dealer recommended the shop.

Perhaps I should get a quote from a dent removal

professional. So it sounds like $200 or so plus another $200 or so for a paint professional if I can't do it myself. Wonder if it will be worth it to fix after all?

A good paintless

dent guy and a few hours of your time and proper supplies less than that amount and you will like the look and it will be worth it.

Mr. Ohlord...

I wished you were next door so that you could supervise me..making sure that I would do the job correctly myself...kinda scared using sandpaper and other stuff on the paint job...I have only touch-up paint experience out of a bottle purchased at the dealer and barely an expert at that.
