Driver's Side Window Stopped Working

I've searched for threads about the window problems, but haven't seen any that just "stopped working". Most of the threads talk about hearing a snap or a clunking noise or the window got stuck halfway down.

In my case, just one day I pressed the window down button and nothing happened. Then I tried opening the window another way - i used the remote to open all the windows and all of the windows except the driver's side window went down.

So, does this sound like a window regulator issue or could it be something else?

I would have said check your window switch first but you said you used a remote to lower it and it won't. I don't know how a remote unit actuates the windows but I would assume it works in parallel with your switch. If that's the case, then you either have a defective regulator or motor. I'm betting more on the regulator... I've changed three regulators already.

Check the fuse

list of fuses located by the battery and by the front fuse box located on the side of the dash. Check connections to the pse,also located by the battery.

OK, I'll look for the fuse box...

PSE? What exactly is that?

Yeah seems like motor might be done.....I had the same thing happen in my old G35. If it was th switch then when you used the key thw window would still roll down hence it most likely is the motor...

Sounds like the motor died. You can test everything to be sure as well. The motor is very easy to get to. ALLDATAdiy.com shows that you just have to remove the door panel to test/replace the motor.

Fuse locations where noted

PSE module pneumatic located in the area by your battery.Black box lots of junk going to and from it.At times it is obvious(broken tube or wire)
water also has a habit of finding its way in there. Have a look see.
Door panel removal is on a video in the diy's could be loose fitting there also.
have fun,you will find it

UPDATE

Finally had a chance to take my car in to the repair shop.

There was nothing wrong with the motor or the regulator. It was the control unit that was bad. $400+ for the unit plus labor...

If this is the only thing that goes wrong with my car this year, that's not bad, I guess.
