Exchanging thefront seats?
I have 200K miles on my 2007 420E. Cosmetically it is in great condition but the drivers seat has become very uncomfortable. I was wondering if the much less used passenger seat can be easily exchanged with the driver's seat. Has anyone tried this?

Hard to believe that no one else here has ever considered this. I will ask my mechanic at MB Elite in Newport Beach when I get back in town next month. I'll post the answer here for the benefit of future searches.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
The seats are
not omni directional. you have occupancy sensors in the passenger seat, you have motors under the seats and the fittings on the seat sides are different.That is most likely why nobody has considered it as a viable option.You can however get new padding and probably locate a seat base cover in your color or a better condition used seat and swap it in. Takes about 15 minutes to pull the seat.

Bad proof reading on my part...I meant 1997 if that makes a difference! Btw, I have known Steve since he left Fletcher and first opened his shop. He is knowledgeable, honest, very accommodating and reasonable, I would give him another chance.
