Need a new key, is the Dealer the only option?
My switch blade key FOB has been dropped a few too many times and is now starting to fall apart.
Dealer is asking $217 for a new one.
Any other sources out there for a new remote?

If the electronics work but the plastic case is falling apart, you can salvage it. Go on eBay, buy a used key for $20. Take the used key apart and throw out the electronics from the used key. They're useless, you can't recode them. Take your key apart (you can find directions online), insert your electronics (it's a small printed circuit board) into the key you bought. Now you've got your electronics in a frame that's in better shape. Also make sure you transfer the metal skeleton key.
If your electronics are shot, your only option is a whole new key.
