Buying an E320
Wire transfers are very risky. You have no recourse. They are a prime method for fraud. Google for more info.
There are scammers here on MBWorld. You can find some threads in the for sale sections.
Trust your gut, find out more, and come to a plan that satisfies you and the seller. Don't be afraid to walk away, it's a buyers market.

So far all is well; all I've had to do to date is put gasoline in the thing, and take care of a few minor stone chips on the front end with touch-up paint. Things to do this fall would be to change the engine oil, transmisson fluid, and spark plugs.
I meant to post this sooner, but wanted to get settled with this new addition to the family before reporting. I probably wouldn't have this car today if it weren't for this forum, and especially ohlord.

Did you check out the wagon for sale here in L.A. that came up right after I bough mine? If it hasn't sold yet, and you're at all in the market, I'd say go for it... or at least get it inspected to see if it's as good as it sounds. 16,000 miles, 2001 wagon. Silver on gray. Granny car, granny's going blind, lost her license.
