On 9/9/09, my first day back from vacation, my beloved member of my MB family bit the dust and was involved in a nasty crash.
I finally got word from my insurance company that they will be totaling my the E and I'll be receiving the remainder of payoff...I'll post pics later, just for memory sake.
Now I need to search for a new one as I drive my old 91 SE - do any of you great folks have any suggestions on what the fair market looks like on 210's now? I'm still planning 00-02 still - maybe 03...anyone in the Seattle area have any leads?
Thanks for any info...

2003 is a w211
you do not want that.
2oo3 in the w210 was still only the wagon, you would like one.
You just missed a nice 430.
What do you mean they are giving you remainder of payoff value?
They need to give you fair market value.
PM me and we can talk.
Do not take a check from them until you are sure you are not getting low balled.

yeah good point - the folks have a 211 and I'm not very fond of it...wouldn't mind a 210 430, either ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

2002 Mercedes Benz E320
Wow that sucks man.
Sorry to go off-topic, but I do have one question. Is there anything special about the 2002 E320? Since its the final year for the sedan, any cool stuff added to it? I'm taking a look at an '02 tomorrow.

There is a special edition package. 17 inch wheels, black birdseye wood, Bose sound, and a few other add-ons.

The insurance company will give you next to nothing for the car. The car is probably worth under $10,000 USD. That reminds me, I should probably drop the collision insurance coverage for the cars the next time I renew.
You can get into a brand new 2009 E350 for $17K off sticker right now! That's what I'd go for if you can find one. Another option is a 2009 C300 or C350 which are $8000 or $10,000 off sticker right now.
I know those alternatives aren't quite the same as the 210 chassis, which has its own unique charm. But those are the options I would pursue in your shoes.

No, it was considered an optional extra. However, this option was a no-cost option.
Standard 2002 E320s had a six-spoke 16-inch wheel. Then special edition models had a 17 inch 5-spoke wheel. Sport editions had another 17 inch 5-spoke wheel.
