If you start the car with foot OFF the brake, do you still get the flashing ESP/BAS?

BAS/ESP are likely the brake light switch. Not positive about the P/D difficulty but these cars are EXTREMELY sensitive to the shift selector getting wet. Very easy to ruin the shift selector module with a little spilled water or coffee or even leaving the sunroof open in the rain....

Check the shifter bushing connecting the linkage to the shifter under the car.
How's your battery voltage? Key on, press and hold REST for 5 secs, use AUTO buttons to toggle to screen #24, should be +13v while running.
Dead battery lately? If so, start engine, turn steering wheel lock to lock a couple of times.

Check your fuse in the panel in the side of the dashboard it can give similar problem.
The fuse or board can be faulty. The fuse board is part of the headlight switch.
