Unhappy Need OEM Lug Bolts

Anyone have the ORIGINAL Lug Bolts they want to sell, not the shorties that replaced them. The ones with the long stem for a 98 E320?? Need 6 or 7.

Lugs

I think the shorter ones make my wheels looks like crap. I am in New JErsey. Do you want to sell them? I can send you money paypal, check etc...let me know. Anyway you can send me a photo of one of the lugs just so I know they are the longer ones? Thank you so much.

notwithstanding the arguable improvement in aesthetics, y'all realize that the
long necked bolts have a design flaw, right? they are less forgiving to thread
seizing and the resulting efforts to loosen will snap the bols at the neck (below
the head) leaving you the hair pulling task of drilling out, using extractors, or,
sawing your wheel off like this guy (j/k....we're not that stoopid).

If you insist on using the long neck design, just be sure to periodically inspect
the threads, keep them corrosion free and clean, DO NOT LUBE, and torque
by hand --- NOT AIR WRENCH.

I am in Jersey as well, and I'll trade you my long ones for your short ones. Although I'd prefer the look of the originals, I've had several seize up that had to be drilled out by the tire monkey who snapped off the heads with his 160 lb/torque wrench. At least having all shorts would appear consistent.

Let me know.

Lugs

I actually only have 6 short lug bolts to trade you. Thats all I need is 6, however I realize whoever sells the long ones will probably want to sell all as a set..?? Rockauto.com sells the shorter lugs for about $2.95 each.

That guy broke off one of his lock lug keys on his honda wheel, no comparison to this. If you clean them, put a tiny bit anti-seize on, and tighten by hand, you should not have a problem. My problem was resolved by a few squirts of PB Blaster and a long pipe on my rachet. Guess I got lucky, but not compared at all to that Honda wheel you linked to.

Ohlord did say that anti seize may not be good, but works for me.

My frozen lugs were probably caused by the fact that I hadn't changed out the wheels for several years during a time when I had Michelin A/S tires. Once I started swapping out one set of wheels for the other twice per year, they've been ok, using my own wrench and not the tire store monkey. But boy am I nervous when slowly loosening them.
