E300TD Estate
E300TD POWER LOSS
My E300td is losing power and accelleration. There is no kickdown accelleration so overtaking etc a real problem. Going up a hill power just fades away. It has 215000 miles on the clock.

Any help welcome please.

Kajtek1 is the diesel man over there and knows his stuff.Plenty of diesel guys with the same issue and you will get the easy solution.Also lots of diesel info on www.peachparts.com

Could be a faulty mass air flow sensor. Turbo shuts down. No power. Hopefully it's not the turbo itself.

Many thanks to those who kindly replied. MAF sensor cleaned, which was pretty well covered in "crud", and now car goes like new!

Might want to check for leaks prior to the MAF and/or change the air filter......
