I had 20" Asantis on my car with the same setup. I just gave those wheels to my dad for his 2001 E320. Went back to the stock AMG wheels. I figured I would let the old man have some fun.

The wheels ride smooth but you just have to watch out for pot holes and YES, go slow on train tracks. If anything I would get these wheels

Nice wheel.what rides better 18in amgs or the 20inI heard that lowprofile tires don't last long maybe a year or so I got a set of 20in dub trump spinners I got them for $300.00 they came off a e320 it was in a bad accident. I havn't had the time to put them on one becouse i want tp paint the benz first to mach the back of the spinner but i also like the chrome mono blocks

The 18's ride much better than 20's. They both are low pro tires. The big reason why low profile tires don't last long are because of air pressure and car isn't lowered correctly. If you have a bend in the wheel caused by a pot hole, tire may loose pressure and cause the side wall to wear out from the inside of the tire and cause bubbles or blow out. They can also loose pressure from weather conditions. If not lowered correctly the tires will wear from the inside causing the tires to wear much faster. So in other words You Play You Pay.
People still putting spinners on cars

You need to do more homework
If this concerns you

"How did the car ride with the 20s good, bad the same I want to put 20 on my e but don't want it to ride like **** or feel every bump or stop at every train Xing"

enough to ask the question.

Yes it will ruin your ride
Yes you will find yourself asking yourself why you ruined such a nice ride.

18's with a nice drop makes this car

the 20's looked good above, but in Cali where the roads are smooth, you can pull that off. here in NYC, ha, no way.

20's 8.5 width with 40offset will fit on 235/35/20's though on my w210? I have a 96 e320 as well looking to put 20's on with these dimensions.

225/30 20 on the front and 265/30 20 would be the equivalent to the correct stock tyre...the ones you quote would be more than an inch greater in diameter and would risk rubbing the arches.

8.5 with a 40 offset will need a spacer in the front and might hit the fender.

Nope 20x8.5 on 225/30/20 fit perfectly front and back, no modification needed, no fender rub, no inner suspension parts harmed, nothing. Given the optimum offset/backspace, and wheel diameter, most 20's will fit most W210 E class vehicles. For that matter, so would 22's. But, there goes the ride factor. Runs good, like it's on rails to be honest, and you do have to watch out for potholes, drive slow over train tracks, etc. but like one of the users above said... "You Pay to Play."

I'll have pictures up this week! Also I was looking for forums related to this subject, so I had to resurrect this thread being a new Mercedes-Benz owner and all.

I have a nice set of 20's that came off of a 2008 s-class. As you can see I've tried to mount them, it's rubbing the upper control arm. So obviously I need spacers. My question is, after the adapter are equipped what tires do I need? They have 245 40 20's on them right now. Oh and I have a 97 e320.

Check rpm of original tires and match new tires close to it.
I think with 20" rims that will give you about 15 height ratio
WATCH OUT FOR THOSE TOOTHPICKS ON THE ROAD.

[QUOTE=BenzBoi223;6802539]
