3M Headlight Polish. Best money spent!
I finally polished my headlights today with the 3m Kit, and boy was it easy and worth every dollar. Makes my entire car look brand new!

One piece of advice if you do this, put more tape around the lights than just the edges as I hit the paint pretty good with the sanding discs on the passenger side front bumper just below the headlight. No biggie as I need to replace my front bumper anyways.

i ordered this one from Micro-Surface....http://micro-surface.com/index.php?m...products_id=68 ....prepped everything, started to use it, got some sanding done and the cordless died, so couldn't finish!
although i only did the driver's side half way (you'll need a good charge on your cordless, at least 30-45 min per side, not including prep and polish), it already looks much better .....maybe today i'll get to finish!
you'll need a 1/2" drill, water spray bottle and a roll of 2" masking tape to mask off a good 2-4" around the headlight bezels/bumper to protect your paint...the rest is patience and time.....
here's Mequiars headlight restore kit.... http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/detail/MEG+G1900
and here's Mequiar's polish i'm going to use once restored.... http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/detail/MEG+G12310

I used the Micro-surface kit and got excellent results. If you decide to go that route FOLLOW the directions. Don't use any power tools. The pads are designed to be used perpendicular to each other. That is, one grit, rubbing side to side and the next grit rubbing up and down in a straight NOT circular motion. Also, I used Duct tape instead of masking tap since it handles water better. Make up a spray bottle of distilled water to spray on headlight lens between grits. Sorry I don't have my pictures anymore but mine were cloudier and yellower than Red's and they turned out clear and bright as new.
Bad news price has gone up for Micro-Surface from $15 to $32.50 (+$12.50 shipping).
CORRECTION - Micro-Surface now has two kits for acrylic. One for manual use at $15.75 and one for use with an electric drill for $32.50.
Most auto parts stores carry the 3M kit.

All done using Micro-Surface...
and polishing off with Meguiars...it looks like new...took a while, but, it did the job - it took me about an hour per side, but that depends on the condition. mine had yellowness at the top where the sun hits the most, so that took a bit more sanding to remove the damaged layer. basically go through each grit grade (i used both sets of sandpaper in descending order) and take your time. CAUTION...do mask well so you don't scratch up your paint! duct tape is a better choice and lift the hood to save having to mask, but cover up the the engine bay and anything else you don't want to be covered in white specs of acrylic! washes off easy though.
the MS kit includes a drill attachment and was $45.31 incl shipping. i tried using my 18V cordless, but it kept draining out. so, i used an electric drill, with no problems, just keep a steady hand and follow the directions - up/down and left/right.
