Who has the highest mileage?
Im at 190k miles and still running strong..... 1999 E320. I know some one out there has more! Can anyone tell me what I have to look forward to in the next 100k??? Im going to try and break 350k before I let her go down for the long nap.

Comming up on 300K miles on the 99 E300.
Some suspension componets will start getting tired soon. Sway bar bushings and links, shocks, upper and lower control arm bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, wheel bearings, etc.

Yeah I was thinking about starting to replace all of it now part by part to aviod it going out on me later. Is there anything you can do to increase the life of contol arms and linkage, ball joints? Any type of oil that works well or? I dunno.

Trying really hard to make 200K with only 388 miles to go. Electronic gremlins(see ASR/LHM post) are killing me after just replacing cats, shocks, top end rebuild due to coked ports. Other than a few dash cracks and some door dings my black/black e420 still looks and drives pretty good.

My odometer stopped working on my 1984 280SEL at around 230,000KMs back in 2001 if not before.
So, I would have to guess that my fighter is around 600,000KM now!!! Still kicking and living, I need get a repair kit for the distributor though... Everything else is working just fine!

I call it Tea with Milk because it looks like one... Does anyone have any idea on what's this color called?

I do love that body style of S-Class... Timeless looking. That mileage is amazing but if you treat these old Germans right, they will last you a life time. They arent like Toyota/Lexus though. Those damn cars will last forever and you'll never have to change out the tranny or any other parts for that matter. I would still rather have a merc or bmw though.

Treat it right? Believe me, the only thing that I don't do to this car is treat her right. There is no pavement that I don't park on nor a sidewalk that I have driven on when the traffic is completely jammed. It is definitely an amazing sedan + off-roader... I even took her to the desert a couple of occasions. The A/C is amazing at night time only lol, I do need to fix up the compressor... It's been 7 years now or so. It's the BEST daily driver that I could ever ask for, I got a C240 as a daily driver but nothing beats this beauty right here + It doesn't consume much fuel and the car boogies. I do need to fix up some stuff here and there after years of extreme hard abuse, nothing much.. Shouldn't cost me more than $400.
btw, the interior leather color is matching to the exterior's color. Is it rare? haha

204K miles on my 97 E420. Just put in a new radiator and trying to sort out P0410 code (another thread...) and electrical contact issue on the shifter. Other than those, it runs and drives great.

255k miles and counting. no problems what so ever. Occasional check engine light when the gas is very low, after refills it goes off. I'm assuming its an electrical issue or the engine is sucking in the sediment that sits at the bottom of the gas tank and doesn't like the taste which triggers the cel.
