DTC Error
Hi there,
I recently checked errors on my Climate Control Module and got the following errors. I appreciate if anybody answers my questions.
Error codes ......................... Possible trouble
---------------------------------------------
B1231 ................................ ECT Sensor (B11/4)
B1234 ................................ Sun Sensor (B32)
B1235 ................................ Emission Sensor (B31)
My questions:
1. Do these codes mean a permenant defect in the sensor? Or it could have happened just once and been recorded in the memory. The reason I'm asking is because, I've got a friend and he lives overseas in France and is a Peugeot mechanic. Speaking about Peugeot, he told me such errors may happen from time to time due to cold/hot weather or other instant, temporary low/high voltage, etc and does not necessarily indicate a defective sensor. Is that also true for our cars?
2. I had a chance to take a look at STARTEK manual, which was mainly test procedures, and not repair procedures, and the suggested remedy for the above codes was testing the wiring and N22, the climate control module. It sounded as if STARTEK considers such errors caused primarily due to loose connections rather than defective parts. Any insight?
Many thanks in advance

MBWorld Fanatic!
Is the a/c
functioning properly?
Just erase the codes
those sensors show codes most times even when functioning properly
and have little need in the operation of the a/c
