Methanol + Gasoline
I used to have a VW Bora Turbo and a lot of the guys in the VW Club that i used to be a member used the Water/Methanol inyection WAI and it seems to work very well cooling the mix of air/gasoline...others used to mix methanol + gasoline in the fuel tank (5%) and they said that the HP increases and help de-carbonizing the engine..is this true?

W210 E300 turbo diesel

for that, need to consider , putting in a oil separator first,
aka, Provent 200 CCV filter , and find room for it, including bubbler jar.
it's funny, since I'am thinking , I want a fuel/water separator first,
with a heater at the fuel filter, and then add acetone to fuel - diesel.
keep me posted, it's on my todo list

I just want to know if i add some methanol to the fuel tank the mix will be better and give me a little extra HP and de-carbonize the engine!?!?
I know that the Water/Methanol or WAI works excellent in turbo engines. You can see more in the Snow Performance website.

Where are you located
most states are 10% ethanol blends already and even with methanol that is about all you can push into the old engines and fuel systems.
You can't go higher without big mods to the supply and fuel injector pulse width.
The intake is plenty cool enough already unless you added some sort of power adder and if you did then you would know what was needed to extract that power.

Water/Methanol injection works well on Forced Induction engines. This is Naturally Aspirated, so it won't help much.
Something like Xylol/Toluene will help, but not by a ton.
The W210 E55 doesn't adapt a ton to higher octane the way a FI engine will.
