Stock brakes or Autohausaz.com brakes

I have had my car for a little over three years. I have had my front pads and rotors done before but I took them to the dealer and paid the price. I'm planning on doing it myself with a help of a friend that has done them before. Should I go to the dealer for parts or could I go with www.autohausaz.com and get the same performance/results.

Thanks

Autohausaz

Be sure to torque the wheel lugs to 80ft lb when done and bed the pads in properly.

Most people get 2- 3 pad changes before the rotors reach minimum thickness for fronts (even more for backs). I assume that you have measured the rotors.

OEM pads and rotors are available from autohausaz so your braking performance should be the same assuming a competent mechanic does the work.

You can also get DOT4+ fluid, wear sensors, MB brake paste and new rotor mounting bolts (optional). If it's been 2 years, flush the brake fluid as part of the job.

Also, MB recommends replacing the caliper mounting bolts which are micro-encapsulated. (Note: Not the guide pins which the pads ride on.) You will probably need to get those from a dealer.

Switching to ceramic pads will eliminate the dust issue and also eliminate the need for brake paste as well. I use the EBC Red Stuff pads and no sqeak and excellent stopping performance. Must bed in the pads as directed in the instructions which is easy enough to do. Good luck
