e320 4matic wagon
New member introduction here
Hi all, I am a proud new owner of an 01 E320 4matic wagon and have finally gotten some pics together. Coming from the Volvo crowd, this is a totally different car and I'm definitely adjusting to the differences good and bad. The car has alot of hwy miles (over 200k ) but it is in great shape for a 9-10 year old car and drives very good. A few things that are bugging me are the lack of highbeams (have a new combo switch to install), vigorous vibrations on idle especially when cold and going into rev and a clunk from the driver's side rear wheel well on certain body rolling. I really like the car otherwise though!
Here's the current list of mods so far...all cosmetic really:
18" sport edition amg replica's with kuhmo grand touring rubber
mb engraved alum sport pedals
alum door pins and surrounds
depo projector 6k hid headlights, silverstar high beams
depo crystal fogs
depo clear corners with stealth/chrome bulbs
chrome gauge bezels
led bulbs in gauge cluster
35% tint all around
oem all-weather MB floor mats
7" lcd headrests w/dual channel IR earphones, and games
IPOD touch w/video output to headrest monitors and audio via cassette adapter(I know..lol)
things to do:
fridge....maybe
now some pics:

Congradulations and welcome... :-)
Vibration may be caused by old worn out motor mounts. Not sure about the clunk in the back wheel though - haven't gone through that one just yet... ;-)

Thanks all!
Yeah I'm noticing I'm having a bunch of more common issues, from what I've read about with the w210. Motor mounts and tranny mount need to be replaced, heat shield in rear tunnel has to be re-screwed on (flapping noise at hwy speeds). Dash pixel problem (of course). Replaced the combo switch (didn't have high beams). Some other random things. So far tho, I really am appreciating the car especially for the mileage and the amount of money I purchased it for

Juve010, I purchased my 2001 E320 Wagon about a month ago and had rough idle problems especially when cold or reversing. The problem was some of the coil wires and plugs were worn. This caused the car to shake a bit when idling. It has 94,000 miles. Replacing all 12 plugs and coil wires solved the rough idle problem, not cheap though. It's about a $500 job for parts and labor. Some of the plugs and wires are difficult to access. At 200K you are probably in need of plugs and likely coil wires too if they haven't been changed out yet. Hope this helps and enjoy your new wagon!

Plugs
are under $100 including the 17mm special boot tool to remove the boots.
Takes about 2 hours for a beginner to do.
even easier if you get the plug socket with the built in swivel.
No need to replace coil wires if you don't abuse them when properly popping off the metal boots with the boot tool.

UPDATE:
Just got in from Germany OEM rear side window shades for my wagon. Part no's: 6-6-69-1308 and 1309. They were about $100 each. I will post pics and install instructions when I get a chance! They look and work great!
