Climate control LCD fix?
I have an A/C panel that has garbled digits for the temp indication on the passenger side. I have read somewhere how to fix this. Searched the forum but cannot seem to find it, anyone?!

the leds
in the dash cluster are probably what you are thinking of as the pixel repair.
Can't think of any repair other than replace bulb on the a/c unit and that won't fix a bad liquid crystal segment.
unless I am wrong r/r unit with a used one is the only solution

Yeah maybe I did mixup the cluster dead pixel fix!? Wasn't that all about soldering? Has anyone tried this with the A/C display yet?

If you
can't turn the e/c light off it means your a/c compressor is not operating.
Run the diagnostics in the climate control module and see what's wrong
Probably low on r134a and system needs leak checked repaired and recharged

After some reading up I've ordered the tool to remove the A/C control unit. I'm guessing some LCD segments not working must be a loose contact thing somewhere like the cluster flatcables. I'm going to pull the A/C unit and take it apart and see what's there to find and fix...

On my 1999 Mercedes Benz E320 Wagon, I had the same issue but this was after cleaning the dash parts with cleaner. Moisture could be the culprit.
Here is some info on how to open it up once it is removed:

I tried to dry it out but the LCD still has issues. Does anyone know where or how to get replacement LCD screens? I really am not in the mood to buy a whole new unit!
