Belt tensioner spring broken?
Hi,
After the last A service on my 1998 E320 by the dealer I started hearing this clicking sound from the engine when the engine was "idle" (in park or in D, but no acceleration). So, I took it to the dealer last night and now they are saying that the spring inside the main belt tensioner is broken. The replacement parts and labor are about $450. Is this something that a normal mehanic would be able to replace more economically or is their price reasonable for the job? Any ideas what this part might be?
Thanks!

I would go
with the updated oem version The other might be just fine but the oem updated is worry free.
Order a new belt at the same time the old one probably could use changin
