Custom W210 E Class Alpine/JL Audio System for Sale
I recently totalled my 96 E320. The insurance company told me to yank my sound system because they did not want to pay for it. I kept some things for my new car but am selling a few things on eBay. Among them, an Alpine head unit that has a custom install for the hidden cubby in the console, a custom cut glove box with Alpine MP3 changer and some JL Audio speakers. on your headunit, what did they have to do to make it fit? was it hard and how much did it cost, i wanted to either buy yours or do the same to mine

I did the work myself. I had to shave the bezel on the head unit and part of the metal sleeve.

What are the speaker brakets for? Did you need those in order to install those JL separates?

No, they were in the car when I removed the system. The car came with stock 6.5" speakers.

The 6.5" speakers I assume came from the front? How easy is it to reinstall?

Very easy to install. The woofers bolt right into the stock mount. The tweeters go up in the A Pillar and will need two screws drilled.
