Question Break Pads

So I got this msg on dashboard few days a go, "BRAKE LINING WEAR visit workshop". From searching this site, and google, its most likely my pads are going out.

Should take it to the indy shop to get them replace?

Should I replace all 4 pads?

Any specific pads I should STAY AWAY from? (I want the least dust pads possible)

Any best pads I should get?

Easy enough to get the pads replaced on W210?

Easy job
order akebono pads if you want little dust.
tirerack carries them.
Be sure to use pad paste
you can do it

only replace the end of the car with the worn pads
to tell that you need to look.
Autohausaz.com has the sensors 2 for the front 1 for the pass rear

Doing it yourself?

About 50 bucks or less.
or more if your rotors are not smooth.

having a shop do it
depends

having the dealer do it several hundred bucks at minimum

really easy to do yourself though
pm me for tips if you want to learn

I am pretty confident on replacing them, its just I work in a computer field, so I dont like to get dirty LOL!!! I did changed the water pump on my own, so I can follow directions, to save money having somebody else do it...

Do I need to buy sensors as well? I am kinda confused on what parts I have to buy... The DIY pdf, said I'll need to buy the clips as well? What parts will I have to buy. And are all the parts available locally? Or I have to order parts online?

You do need to replace sensors

Once you've got the message on the display it means the sensors are rubbing. They are very inexpensive.

Have fun.

Ok, so this is what I got at Advanced Auto Parts

$50 for the front pads
$50 for the back
$25 for 4 sensors
$4 for the brake lube

Thats all what I need?
