Hard stop and then??????
Well it has been a while since I have been on here but wanted to say thanks to everyone that helped with my last issue. I now present you with a new dilemma. My 02 E320 and I were peacefully driving down the road a week ago when some dufas pulled in front of us, I jammed on the brakes and a few minutes later the low gas light started to flash. A few miles later it went out and I gave it no mind. Yesterday, my wife got up to go to the store, when she started it, it she said it started shaking real bad and the check engine light came on. It stayed on and shook for about a mile, she shut it off and restarted it, it idled normal.
Today on the way home, the low gas light started to flash and kept on till i got home, shut the car off and restarted it and it was out... Anyone got an idea if she is possessd??? not the wife,,, the car......

Do some searching on here and benzworld.org in the forum search bar. There are a lot of forums that discuss this very problem. If you feel that your problem is slightly different from what you read then post your observations, and variations. Its sounds like there maybe a leak in your fuel system, although your fuel light maybe independent from your stalling engine. Always make sure to turn your car off, key out when refueling, and never top off your tank. Stop when the pump stops, and turn your gas cap all the way tight. Make sure the wife knows this as well. Also not to insult your intelligence but also make sure your using premium fuel, and make sure the wife does too. These should help start your search.
