That is a very expensive antenna if you don't plan to use it for anything. You might try a junkyard to find one but good luck. The dealer wants $350+ for a new one!

Steve, how much do you want for it? Is it the factory one that mounts to the rear of the roof area? Those usually already come painted from the dealer, what color is your? BTW, how was dinner in LA last night?

They sell the FAKE GPS roof antenna at www.tuningzubehor.com for $38.95. I'd hate to see you do it - we die hard Mercedes enthusiasts know a "Poser" when we see one.

E55 KEV I would never put one on just for the look, so if your link is to a fake one, thanks for the info. but no thanks!!! I wanted to try and wire an OEM Mercedes one into my new head unit when I get it. I am going to get either a XM or Sirius radio and I hate those ugly "sharkfin" antennas (like on the BMW's) that they come with and wanted to use the OEM Mercedes one. If it works, I will remove my headliner, drill through the roof and wire it in. entropy might find your link useful as he is looking for a fake one.
entropy, I agree with E55 KEV on this one. IMO, if you are not going to use it for anything other than for looks, please don't put one on!

On the OEM GPS antenna... Does the connection work with a garmin streetpilot or would this have to be modified to a garmin plug. Since the dash doesn't hold my gps system I have to place it on an opened glove box or by the shifter. But when placed in front of the shifter I loss reception often. I was going to buy the garmin antenna but if the Mercedes would work without modifing the antenna connection it seems to be a win win.

Steve, thanks for your reply. Would you happen to have just the cover by any chance or is it the whole unit? I got my hands on the actual unit with wiring but no cover. Please PM with with the details and a price. Your help once again is greatly appreciated!
Take care, Jimmy

E320, the covers (only) are not available from the dealer. The dealer only sells the whole antenna/unit and not just the cover. They are also color coordinated with your vehicle. I will try the link you recommended. Thanks...

BTW E-Klasse, I am not looking for a fake one, and the one you have looks really different from the OEM one. I am looking for the real OEM cover as I have the base unit and need to wire it in to my head unit. Thanks anyway.

Steve, you have come through once again my friend, thanks! I just called the dealer and gave the guy the part number and he looked it up in 2 seconds and gave me a price of $76.00 wholesale as I have a resale number ($94.00 retail). I asked him why he told me he didn't have it and he had nothing to say but "sorry, I must have overlooked it." Now, do you still want to get rid of one of yours or should I just go to the dealer and pick one up? I don't want to leave you hanging since you told me that you wanted to sell yours. Let me know...Thanks again...Jimmy

No problem Steve, I will order one from the dealer. I am also sure that you will sell yours as well with like you said, your many command installs. Thanks for all of your help. Take care...J
