2000 E 320 4Matic Wagon & 1993 Toyota Camry
navigation and stereo
My 2000 wagon has a navigation unit and sa code 810 for an upgraded stereo. Does someone know what this says about the factory stereo?

2001 E320 RWD - Brilliant Silver/Ash: 100,000+
Mine has COMAND/NAV and Bose stereo but came without a changer so I added that later. I'm away from home and don't have my sales literature with me. But as I recall there were E1 E2 and E3 packages that bundled the various options together. My car has a couple of options that were not part of those packages so I'm sure there was at least some flexibility.

Bose is the 810 option code. Very nice car. I have the east coast sister to yours with same set up. Mine has the 6 disc changer from MB with the command/nav in white/ jAva.

Technically, mine's still an East Coast car too. : ) I just purchased the car from the MB dealership in South Orlando earlier this week. The car has been in Florida all of its life. It'll be getting on a truck on Sunday to start its journey to the Northwest where it will finish out its days.

2003 Mercedes E320
Hey neighbor
Glad to see someone else from the local area posting on this site! I live in Kennewick, about 10 blocks south of the new site for McCurley Mercedes dealership (which has already been beneficial for me when somehow I locked the flunkin' keys in the car). Congrats on your new purchase, I'm sure you will be happy. I have a 2000 E320, kind of a dark turquoise (although they call it blue), with the Bose sound system and 6 CD changer, cassette in the head unit, no navigation.
I'm very happy with the sound quality of the factory unit, but quite honestly, I'm really finding it a pain not to have a CD player or an auxiliary connector in the head unit... the changer works and sounds great, but these days I find myself using a cassette adapter and plugging my Android phone or an MP3 player into it for music. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good aftermarket head unit that will accept an aux and/or USB plug in and still be able to access the changer? Based on the changer that I installed (i.e., plugged in) to my 190E, it looks like an Alpine unit, same magazine at least. While the cassette adapter works fairly well, I can't help but think a more direct connection to the preamp would sound much better.
I'll keep an eye out for you CB, glad to have you on board... as you probably know, the Tri-Cities isn't like the "other" East side of Washington (i.e., Bellevue), so Mercedes are a bit more visible here since not everyone owns one... LOL!
