3-2 dnshift?

3-2 dnshift?
Hi all,
Can anyone comment on why the MANUAL dnshift appear to be smooth for all the gears, but MANUALLY going from 3-2 appear to be a bit ROUGHER?
I realize some of this is due to dnshifting while the RPM is higher (i was around 2500 rpm), but are there other causes?
We just got this 2002 E320 4Matic and it has 114k (well cared for) miles, I'm crossing my fingers that all's well. I'll try to dnshift using the gas only and see if that's smooth or not.

Hi all,
My mechanic mentioned "One way roller clutch in transmission"...does that sound right to you guys? The car drives fine, and I guess I could just avoid doing the 3-2 dnshift(usually in Drive anyway), but curious everyone's thoughts.

Time to
