Checked out your tail lights on eBay. Nice! I am thinking that since my E430 Sport has the same AMG body kit as the E55, that my lights are same as E55. They sure look the same. Do you know of any difference?
How are yours different from a stock W210?
Thanks.

Mike
I think the E320/E430 sport have same front/rear bumber, and size skirt as the E55, it's AMG kit.
However, the E55 runs 18" AMG wheels, different muffler tip, and have tail lights that's red & smoke, as oppose to red & white as the regular W210.
Here's picture of the red & clear (E320/430/sport)

Thanks for the great pics showing the difference in lens. So the upper, clear lens is smoked on the E55; that's the difference?
You say they will bolt right up to my 2000 E430?

Yep, they'll fit right in, if your car is year 2000 or later.
Will probably take out at most 5 min for the installation :-)
Email me if you interest. If you consider trade-in, let me know too. We can work out a deal

'99 E430
How do you make them fit a '99
In reading various posts, to upgrade my '99 E430 rear lights, I have to shave the trunk light down to fit snug. Does anyone know how to do it. Can you post step by step instructions, thanks.

clco,
I just installed E55 smoked tail lights on my 99 E430 tonight, so the process is fresh in my mind. I suggest that you search for "tail lights" in the W210 forum and you'll find some very comprehensive installation instructions. That's what I did tonight when I came home from work. Two hours later, the tail lights were in. (You'll need an 8mm socket and a socket extension to reach the nuts on the tail light sections in the car body (as opposed to the trunk). You will also need a grinding tool like a dremel. good luck!
