17" wheels from W211 - tire size?
Hi all,
I'm looking at some MB 17" sport wheels from a 2003 E320...I think 8" width.
The stock tires on those are 245/45/17's, but I'm wondering if that might be too wide/too much for my 4Matic wagon(2002).
Can anyone comment on whether I should get the same 245's, or if perhaps I can go 235's on the same wheels and still be ok?
Thx.
Patrick

i'll let you and others wrestle with the finer details of sizing, but here are
several nice charts to calculate proper size for starters.
note also that your lug bolts are too small for the 211 larger diameter wheel
bolts and ball seat. so you will need to swap out and consider the 12mm
diameter bolt, with 14mm ball seat (search RAD BOLTS and/or OTIS BOLTS)
tire/wheel fitment
my favorite...

good one showing side fits...

another good one..for MBs, showing reasonable fitments...

Yes you can
use the W211 rims.
Use 235/45/17
245 to wide for the fronts.
Per ray you need the special lugs

$50 a set.
