Thanks for the heads-up.

Lately I have been using 5w-40 because that was the only thing available at my local dealership. I did noticed that the engine temperature gauge is usually lower using this oil.
Should I switch back to 0w-40?

Yes.

Because it flows better at startup when the majority of wear occurs. It's great stuff.
