ABS and BAS lights flashing

After purchasing my 2000 E240 a few weeks ago i thought it was time to have a thorough going over of the car. Started with pulling the front right wheel off to measure the brake rotor width was fine so put the wheel back on. got in the car to move it forward a little bit for easier access to the left wheel and my dash board popped up with BAS and ABS malfunctions!!!!!!!!!!!!! All i did was remove one wheel! didnt touch any wires or adjust anything!!! Do i really have to take it to a dealer to get this problem rectified??
Thank you

You may have

uncentered the steering wheel angle sensor.
Start the car keep it in Park and turn the steering wheel all the way left and all the way right and back a few times. lock to lock.
See if that clears the warnings.

^^^^ That should fix the problem i get those 2 codes when i take the battery out and plug it back. Also when you do change brakes or w.e just check the sensors on the brakes sometimes they may be bad
