W210 speaker wiring diagram

Hi guys,

I bought a 98 mercedes E320 (no bose system) and it came without its factory radio. No problems with that because i was planning on changing the head unit.

So i bought a Sony CDX-GT740UI head unit and installed it. What i noticed is that the front tweeters on the door and mids on the dash are silent. The front door subs are working thought. On the rear doors and deck only the right speakers are working, but this one i can fix.

Now my question is, doesn't the front speakers have a factory crossover for the tweeters, mids and sub? And What about the rear speakers? Don't they come with a factory crossover too?

Thanks guys. I'll appreciate your input on this

There are no Mids on the dash! Depending on Left- or right hand drive there can be an optional single speaker for the telephone system...

I have an extra OEM radio from an 02' if you are interested. Works and is in excellent condition.

Thanks Lancelot.

So the speakers on the dash were originally designed to be used for other things such as a telephone system and not for a audio system, right?

And what about the upper door speakers? Are they supposed to be be used for audio? Because i can't hear them so my guess is that something is disconnected or they are not supposed to be used as a audio factory system?

Cheers

The BOSE sound option does not have the in dash speakers but the standard sound system does.

wiring diagram 2nd try

you should have a tool in your browser that gives you the ability to zoom in on the diagram. have you tried clicking or double clicking on the images to see if they will open. if they do, save them to a folder. then you can open them and expand them.

Hi jwratts,

I know about that but i can't do miracles on an image that size (490x600) with 50kb. I tried to zoom in but its too small...
