What is this blue thing ??
Hi All ! Today i was checking the airbag fuses of my w210 to know if the problem of SRS light is caused by them , it appears that it's not , so i have noticed this thing, i've never seen it before in any engine
?! here is the picture of this thing, can anybody tell me what is that ??

Looks llike a lock that is not surpose to be there. That loop that the lock is around looks like that where the engine gets hoisted in and out of the engine bay.
I would just cut it off so it doesn't rattle around.

It's not rattling , and not bothering, if it's a lock why it's there
? i'm just wondering why is it there and what is it

It looks like part of the sling used to place the engine and someone cut it off at the wrong place. Of course, that blue part could contain the electronics, the long straight piece is the antenna and the loop is part of the security system.

SRS light is caused by a faulty passenger seat occupancy sensor.
Test the harness,test the wires,replace the seat sensor.
