Smashed headlight
Well guess the mercedes got hit by some debris, don't know details as I wasn't driving, but apparently the headlight is smashed.
Anyone got a driver's side housing for sale? (halogen, factory stock)
Thanks

Where are you located?
Factory stock or HID option.
and be sure you specify pre facelift.

holy cow....that was some debris. it takes some mass/force to wipe out that
outer lens in that fashion. did you suffer any sheet metal damage in the process?
i'd post 'wanted' on various MB forums, or scope out ebay. hopefully, someone
who changed their OEM halogens for projector design has their stock headlights
sitting in the garage waiting for a sale.
yes, your 1999 model (ergo 5 slat grill) is pre-facelift

The housing should be relatively easy to find, it's that little piece that I think would be harder to find (anyone know what it's called?). My dad didn't even realize it was missing at first, which is understandable, but damn....
Yeah figure I'll look around more before I go to ebay.

FIND search using the part's list found here.
then, just identify the reciprocal part (the other side). matters little what it
is called, as it is the part# which is referenced at the dealer or any part supplier
while you're there, you may as well view (or download) the exploded diagrams
to your PC for future reference. these will contain part#s as well
